Yes, that article was writtento establish what I am talking and writing about when I mention contemplation: the state of resting peacefully in the knowledge of God, either in the light of glory in heaven, or – which is what concerns us in this life – in the darkness of faith. We will explore that way to come to contemplation when we consider contemplative prayer. This is how the Catechism of the Catholic Church approaches the question and I think it is a practical framework for our discussion.
